SHARING

Sharing is a beautiful value we all must inculcate. When a person is full of love, compassion and goodwill, he or she comes out of neediness. Like an earthern pot of water becomes full, the water starts flowing out. When we are full and complete within ourselves, our love starts flowing out for others.

The value of sharing can be in many ways:

1) Sharing of ideas like personal and professional growth
2) Sharing knowledge like an interesting book
3) Sharing our merits, earned from good deeds

The easiest way in today's world is communication. Hence, sharing becomes easier. I have discovered that Facebook, Blogs, Twitter, Orkut, Email, Google groups can be of great help for sharing knowledge. Talking on phone adds a personal touch and gives instantaneous response or feedback. When I share good ideas that appeal to others, it gives a sense of accomplishment. And when others can benefit from my experiments, it gives a joy which is uncomparable to any million dollar pay-check.

Recently, Taparia Sir shared with me his experiments about Moong dal diet. I followed the same and I also shared it on my FB page. Avanti a friend of mine in NJ also followed it and benefitted from it. And the word has speard. Later I shared the moong daal diet with Vaibhav, my cousin in Lucknow and many other people. That is the power of sharing. And we all are fortunate to be living in this era where we do not use pigeons to communicate anymore.

Today I noticed that Sachin Tendulkar shared on  Twitter how well his kids are taking care to save water. Now, we all know that this can create a bog impact and many people would follow. That is the power of communication and sharing.

Like wise, it is beneficial if we can share good thoughts, poetry, books, etc with people as per their maturity levels. Sometimes, just listening to a person without any judgement or prejudices is enough. If we can lend our ears to someone suffering and just acknowledge what they want to say, gives them immense satisfaction and strength.

And then what can I say about sharing the merits of our good deeds. When we share our merits acquired from deep meditation practice, it spreads peace, joy and happiness in the world.

Sharing increases our knowledge, gives personal satisfaction and fulfills the Paramita of Dana. It eventually spreads the good-will and inspires people to lead a better quality of life.
